2019 World Pride Hearts Event!
World Pride is coming to NYC in June 2019. It will mark the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising and a half-century of LGBTQ+ liberation. Volunteers of The Peyton Heart Project are planning to attend and distribute TENS OF THOUSANDS of Peyton Hearts during this historic celebration. All rainbow hearts should be made in loving memory of 17-year-old Matthew Dille who died by suicide in 2014 and 17-year-old Austin Fischer who died by suicide in 2015.
We will need YOUR help to make this event successful. We ask that you please help by making rainbow hearts for us throughout the year, tagging HALF of them with Matthew Dille tags, and the other half with Austin Fischer tags and mailing them to us starting now and ending on May 1st, 2019. All in time for the June 2019 World Pride March in NYC.
~Hearts are due on May 1st, 2019.
~Yarn: Please use Red Heart Super Saver
~Where to send them: (with tags attached please)
The Peyton Heart Project
112 Seminole Road
Lafayette, NJ 07848
Important: Please leave a 4-inch tied-off loop at the top of the center of the hearts for the tags. It would be helpful if you would please attach the tags ahead of time. You can use any heart pattern you want but please make small hearts since the people will be carrying them along the parade route. Thousands of hearts are very heavy.
We will also need volunteers to meet us in NYC to help distribute the hearts. Please e-mail us if you are interested in doing this at email@example.com
TAGS: Please be sure to download the Matthew Dille tag file from the website here: http://www.thepeytonheartproject.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/1-PHP-MatthewDille_Tag84w.pdf
and the Austin Fischer tag file from the website here: http://www.thepeytonheartproject.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/1-PHP-AustinFischer_Tag84.pdf.
Remember: If you do not send tags we still need you to knot the loops!

If you don’t want to take part in this particular event we will still be accepting regular colored hearts all year. Just please use our standard tags instead of the memorial ones linked above. We will be thanking people on Facebook for their heart donations so please check there to see if we received it. Thank you.
